After reading this article Rethinking Wall Street, I feel even better about my idea to get an MBA and stay at my current job. The article basically says that jobs are harder to come by and so new MBA graduates will have look at all options. So why do I feel better about my idea to get an MBA? One thing I decided before going into the MBA program was in order to have some kind of stability in my life, I would stay at my current job while  completing my MBA (assuming I wasn’t let go). One of my fears was that I would be missing out on opportunities that could be available. However, as new openings have become fewer and fewer, there are less jobs available while doing my MBA. At the same time, if the economic recovery continues to be on pace, then there should be more jobs available when I graduate in 2010-2011. In essence, I didn’t give up a better job to go and do my MBA. That makes me feel somewhat better as I pay my $3300 tuition bill!
